Flinder Slopes Aboriginal Cultural Excursion

Neil Trindall, BYDS Indigenous Youth Arts Officer organised his final event for the year - an Aboriginal Cultural Excursion to Flinders Slopes for local elders and school students on Wednesday November 25, 2009. Students from Padstow North and East Hills Public School, local elders from Bankstown and members of Bankstown Council participated in the organised workshops and activities throughout the excursion.

The day began with three seperate workshops.....

	Students learnt traditional aboriginal painting and drawing skills and techniques from Unlce Danny.
Neil Trindall assisted students in learning how to express themselves through dance and movement .
	And participants experienced new tastes and learnt useful information about bush tucker from John Lennis.

After a BBQ lunch students finished the day with sporting games whilst the elders worked with Uncle Danny learning new drawing and painting skills...
