Alleyway Honour
Alleyway Honour, part of the Sydney Writer's Festival, attracted over two hundred audience members last Tuesday evening (19/05/09) at the Bankstown Town Hall. Following on fromWestside @ the Wharf, Alleyway Honour is the creation of an ensemble of writers developing the skill of performing writing and exploring the ideas of shame and honour. All five young and emerging writers from Western Sydney; Andy Ko, Luke Carmen, Peter Polites, Fiona Wright & Mohammed Ahmed performed their work beautifully and we would like to congratulate them all, as well as Writing Director Ivor Indyk, Performance Director Roslyn Oades and Tim Carroll, Director at BYDS for making Alleyway Honour a hugely successful event.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body. This project came about through a 'Write in Your Face' grant from the literature board of the Australia Council.
