Indigenous Dance Group Neil Trindall, BYDS Indigenous Youth Officer, in partnership with Peta Strachan, a local aboriginal dance teacher, completed contemporary Indigenous dance classes at local schools; Padstow North and East Hills Primary and East Hills Boys High. Those involved in these classes were a highlight of the Bankstown Council's NAIDOC festival on Saturday 4th July 2009 when they performed these dances accompanied by indigenous props, instruments and clothing. We would like to congratulate all participants involved for all their fantastic efforts. BYDS members Neil and Jaleesa also did a great job as MC's for the festival.
