Shock to the System

From September to November 2009 the Think+DO Tank, supported by BYDS and Bankstown City Council conducted a series of in-school consultations with a project called Shock to the System. These workshops were designed to educate young people about how local political decisions are made and ensure their views are directly informing these decisions.

These consultations, carried out in five local schools, have resulted in a report presented to Bankstown City Council in early 2010. If you would like a copy of this report please email BYDS. The Think+Do Tank hopes to return to schools in Term 1, 2010 to update students on the report and the steps BCC is taking to implement it.
