Westside 08 kerchop Sydney Writer's Festival

BYDS has been producing publications showcasing the talents of our many young writers and visual artists, photographers, digital artists etc. since 1994. We began producing Westside magazines in 1998.

Westside is now edited by Mohammed Ahmad, a talented local writer.

Westside: Fill Your Bucket Launch

Friday December 11, 2009

The first edition of the new series of Westside; Fill Your Bucket was launched Friday evening, December 11th, 2009 at Bankstown Town Hall to over 60 guests and contributors to the publication. New poems were read by Fiona Wright and Lachlan Brown. Nathan Elhosni and Tim Carroll read a number of works from the publication.

Evelyn Juers, Non-Fiction winner of the 2009 Prime Minister's Literary Awards, officially launched Fill Your Bucket with a beautiful, thoughtful speech in which she praised each of the writer's who contributed to Westside.
